VINTAGE UNSMOKED UNUSED CARVED MEERSCHAUM PIPE WITH CASE. This piece is from my father's personal collection. He had it for as long as I can remember, so it probably dates around the 70's to maybe the 80's. Featuring a highly detailed Native American Indian Chief with a feathered headdress.
Hand-carved, block meerschaum with grain. I believe the stem is acrylic (looks like tortoise shell).
Includes a fitted, velvet lined, hinged black leather case. Measures about 6 long overall (measuring from bottom). Curved stem measures about 3-1/4 long (not counting the shank) x 13mm across at the base. Bowl/head measures about 2" tall x 1-3/8" wide x 1-3/4 deep (not counting the shank). Shank is 1/2" from the back of the head on the top and 1" from the back of the head on the bottom.
Pipe weighs about 1.2 ounces. Pipe in the case weighs about 2.6 ounces. Excellent vintage condition with little to no signs of age/use.
