(Unsmoked) 1960s Andreas Bauer Jimmy Ring Block Meerschaum Long Dublin

  

10th pipe from a NOS, 1960s. Collection of Andreas Bauer pipes I've recently acquired is a bit different. Series known under the name of "Jimmy Ring", this one is the second variation with bamboo insert. Surprisingly, both available options were present in the collection I've acquired. Long straight Dublin, paneled bowl with beautiful rustication.

Diamond pattern in form of a star is carved all around the bowl. It's quite unusual and you won't see these very often. Finishing and overall quality of the block matches the ones from amber stem series, it's top of the line. It comes naked, without a box.

Be aware that thread on the bowl is weak as bamboo and vulcanite stems are not that lightweight for its size. It's more of a presentation, display type of pipe, rather than something you would smoke. If so, it will require you to be gentle and hold it properly or use some sort of fix to reinforce its thread. T may vary up or down depending on their system. Bowl outer height: 4.5 cm. Inner bowl depth: 3.2 cm. Bowl inner diameter: 2.2 cm. Bowl outer diameter: 4.5 cm.
