MBSD Meerschaum Silver Floral Rev Calabash Brandy Block Meerschaum Pipe, New. The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts. There is a specific genre of shape that is sometimes referred to as a Danish billiard. From an Anglo-French perspective, these shapes look more like a brandy, being more stout, broad, and generally thicker in proportions, but are still somewhat on the borderline between the two.

And, of course, a Danish brandy is a different beast altogether. The Danish billiard was the basic inspiration for this pipe, following in the footsteps of carvers like Karl Erik, Erik Nording, and Jess Chonowitsch, along with the American artisans who followed in their wake. To give it a more Turkish feel, however, the pipe has also been dressed in classic, floral carvings, making it-like so many of the meerschaums my carver and I aim to put out-a bridge between worlds.
