A giant bowl block meerschaum, carved beautifully with the head of the ancient Greek God Dionysus (judging from the vine leaves and grapes on the head, as Dionysus was the God of wine). We have selected not to list uncleaned "as is" pipes, for the reason that important defaults may be hiding behind dirt, oxidation or cake.

For this reason we prefer the long and tedious work of cleaning them before they are offered for sale. Oxidation is removed from the stems and then they are sanitized using pure alcohol. The stummels are carefully cleaned and then sanitized. Most of the cake is removed from bowl interior of used pipes, leaving a thin layer of only about 0.5-1.0 mm cake so that the pipes do not need to be cured from start.
