Superb Chimney BLOCK MEERSCHAUM AMBER STEMN. A superb chimney shape on this excellent quality block meerschaum. Medium size bowl (similar in size to Dunhill's Group 3). The stem is real amber of excellent quality.

The pipe features a fixed metal tube in the shank air hole. It has been smoked very little and is in near mint condition on all of its parts. It must have been made some time between the late 1940's - early 1960's (with a probability of even pre-WW2 manufacture) as it belonged to an old smoker who owned various pipes from that period which are being listed in our store these days early Jeantet, early Stanwell, early Savinelli, early Vauen etc. Approximate Dimensions / Weight Overall Length = 140 mm (5.51") Bowl Height = 55 mm (2.16") Chamber Depth = 45 mm (1.77") Max Bowl Width = 30 mm (1.18") Chamber Diameter = 16 mm (0.63") Tenon External Diameter = 6 mm (0.24") Weight = 45 gr (1.59 oz) Filter : no Stem : original, amber.

Oxidation is removed from the stems and then they are sanitized using pure alcohol. The stummels are carefully cleaned and then sanitized. Most of the cake is removed from bowl interior of used pipes, leaving a thin layer of only about 0.5-1.0 mm cake so that the pipes do not need to be cured from start.
